Report: Drivers In Quadruple Fatal Were Both Under Influence. State police said preliminary toxicology reports showed that both drivers involved in a quadruple fatal crash that occurred this weekend were driving under the influence of alcohol.Investigators said a car with three teens traveled in the wrong direction for miles on Route 50 before crashing head-on into a BMW. The crash occurred early Saturday.According to police, 19-year-old Brittany Ann Walker was behind the wheel of the Chrysler Sebring Sedan that was going the wrong way. She was a 2010 graduate of Meade High School. Breanna Marie Franco and Zachary Tyler Rose, both 18, were passengers in Walker’s car.

Edgewater Parents Concerned Over School’s Air Quality. Many parents at an Anne Arundel County school are questioning whether their students are getting sick while they learn.School district leaders, parents and staff met Tuesday night at Edgewater Elementary School to discuss concerns over the aging school’s air quality. Edgewater is nearly 60 years old, but it has yet to undergo a major renovation.’The suspicion is that there is an unhealthy air atmosphere and environment in this school,” said Parent-Teacher Association President Jenny Corkhill, who is one of dozens of parents who have voiced concerns about the school’s air quality.

Anne Arundel Sheriff: Link Tax Refunds To Warrants. Anne Arundel County residents who have outstanding arrest warrants would see their state tax refunds withheld if the county’s sheriff gets his wish.Sheriff Ronald S. Bateman has asked the county’s legislative delegation to support his proposal. The Capital of Annapolis newspaper reported that the legislation would make Anne Arundel the first Maryland jurisdiction where people with an outstanding arrest warrant could not receive a state tax refund until it’s cleared up.

Man Accused Of Pouring Bleach Over Grocery Meat. A Queen Anne’s County man has been accused of contaminating a grocery store case full of meat.John Waskey, 57, a former employee of the Stevensville Food Lion, is accused of going back to his old job and pouring bleach over 96 packages of chicken and pork.Security video captured the incident and allowed store officials to pull the items before they got into the hands of customers, officials said.Waskey was charged with malicious destruction of property and contaminating or poisoning food or drink.
