Pedestrian Killed In Sunday’s Crash In Hanover. A pedestrian was killed in a one-car crash on Sunday evening in Anne Arundel County, and police are still trying to identify the victim.The crash happened around 8 p.m. at Dorsey Road near Ridge Road in Hanover.Police said Matthew Lang, 26, of Harmans, was driving east along Dorsey Road when he hit the man, who was walking in dark-colored clothing in the same lane. Police said it was dark out, there was little ambient lighting and the victim wasn’t in a crosswalk.

3 Tractor-Trailers, 2 Cars Collide Inside Tunnel. Three tractor-trailers and two cars collided inside a southbound bore of the Fort McHenry Tunnel shortly after midnight Monday, Maryland Transportation Authority police told WBAL-TV 11 News.Two people in the cars were taken to area hospitals, police said. Their names and conditions were not immediately released. A cause of the collision remained under investigation.

O’Malley Unveils Legislative AgendaMaryland Gov. Martin O’Malley unveiled his legislative plans in Annapolis on Monday, with a bill that would legalize same-sex marriage at the top of his agenda.O’Malley said the 2012 version provides “more religious” exemptions than last year’s measure, which narrowly passed in the Senate and died in the House.O’Malley shot a Web commercial in support of same-sex marriage, and he vowed to put the force of his office behind the bill’s passage.

Ehrlich Campaign Cash Paid For Schurick’s Defense. Former Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. used $168,000 in leftover campaign funds to pay for defense attorneys in his aide Paul Schurick’s election fraud trial.The Baltimore Sun reported that the payments were outlined in a campaign finance report filed last week by the Bob Ehrlich for Maryland Committee.A Baltimore jury last month convicted Schurick on charges that he authorized a 2010 Election Day robocall campaign to suppress the black vote by falsely suggesting that Gov. Martin O’Malley had already won and voters could stay home.
