Missing Crofton Woman

UPDATE:   On January 26, 2012, at approximately 10:40 p.m., a citizen in Montgomery County  Maryland observed Ms. Bucy driving the above 1997 Chevrolet Van.  The citizen recognized the van from the Silver Alert posted through the Maryland State Police.  The citizen contacted Montgomery County Police.  An officer stopped the car and Ms. Bucy was found to be in good health, but in a state of confusion.   The family was contacted and responded to Montgomery County in order to assist with Ms. Bucy and have her safely return home.   

On January 26, 2012, at approximately 6:15 p.m., the Anne Arundel County Police Department responded to the 2500 block of Vineyard Lane Crofton, Maryland 21114 to investigate a critically missing person complaint.  Officers spoke with family members of the missing person who reported that Ms. Cynthia Ann Rosser Bucy had left the family home in a white 1997 Chevrolet Venture van bearing Virginia vanity tags GRANIEC sometime earlier in the day.  Ms. Bucy is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and may possibly be attempting to locate a prior residence in the Madison Virginia area.

Ms. Bucy is described as a white female, 81 years old, 5’1” tall, 125 pounds, and last seen wearing a red ski jacket, multicolored sweater, and carrying a brown purse.  If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Ms. Bucy or her vehicle, please contact the Anne Arundel County Police Department at 410-222-8610.  A Silver Alert was issued through the Maryland State Police.
