The Naval Academy will present the annual winter musical Feb. 24, 25, and 26 and March 2, 3, and 4 in the academy’s Mahan Hall. Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $15 or $18. They go on sale Jan. 24 and can be purchased online at http://www.usna.edu/Music/
Guest director Lars Tatom, head of theatre at Anne Arundel Community College, returns to the Naval Academy for his third production with the midshipmen. The performance will be a fully realized Rodgers and Hammerstein production, complete with dancing, costumes, and a live pit orchestra made up of midshipmen musicians.
Vehicles without Department of Defense decals are not permitted on the Naval Academy grounds. Parking will be available for $5 at the Navy/Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, with a complimentary shuttle to Mahan Hall. Handicapped visitors with proper decals and vehicles with DOD decals may enter through Gate 1 or Gate 8 for this event. Audience members may walk-on through Gate 3 on Maryland Avenue. Gate 3 will be open until 11 p.m. for pedestrians during performance nights. All visitors are required to show a valid photo identification to enter the grounds and bags are subject to search.
