Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival Adds Beneficiary

Chesapeake Bay Events, Inc. (CBE), producer of the Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival has added End Hunger In Calvert County as a beneficiary of this year’s Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival.  The festival donates 100% of the net proceeds to various local worthwhile causes.  End Hunger in Calvert County is a 501(C)3 whose mission is to stamp out hunger in Calvert County and provide help and training to those facing hunger every day in getting the skills necessary to become self-sufficient once more.  End Hunger in Calvert also provides support to the surrounding Maryland counties including: southern Anne Arundel, Charles and St. Mary’s counties.

“When my daughter, Sarah and I found out how much hunger actually exists in our own back yard, and the excellent job that End Hunger In Calvert is doing to alleviate it, we had to get involved”, stated Don Hooker, president of CBE.  “I hope that we not only raise money at the Blues Festival for End Hunger In Calvert, but also raise awareness with the thousands of attendees of the Festival” adds Hooker.

“End Hunger In Calvert County is honored to be one of The Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival charities,” says Rev. Robert P. Hahn, chairman of End Hunger In Calvert County.  “Our organization’s motto is Together We Can.  The volunteers at the Blues Festival embody that idea. They understand that there is something everyone can do and they have stepped forward to do their part. It is a privilege to partner with them.”
