Police: Pasadena Stabbing Self Inflicted

On January 11, 2012, at approximately 3:12 p.m., officers from the Eastern District District responded to a residence in the 300 block of Rayford Drive in Pasadena for a report of an assault.

Officers arrived on scene and located a 16-year-old female victim suffering from an apparent stab wound to the torso along with minor lacerations to her lower extremity. The victim reported that an unknown male suspect made a forced entry into the home, assaulted her with a knife and fled the area in a green, four door vehicle with yellow fog lights on front. After receiving this information, numerous officers saturated the area in an effort to locate the suspect vehicle. Additionally, several intersections leading into the area were closed off and a perimeter was established. Several officers conducted a canvass of the community and made contact with residents attempting to gain information on the incident. Fire Department Personnel arrived on scene and transported the victim to Shock Trauma in Baltimore for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The victim was later treated and released.

The investigation consisted of numerous interviews and the collection of evidence from the scene. Eastern District Detectives have since determined that the victim’s injuries were self-inflicted and the incident was unfounded.
