11 Year Old Reports Assault At School Bus Stop

On January 12, 2012, at approximately 4:45 p.m., officers from the Western District responded to Frostwood Drive in Laurel for a report of an assault that took place earlier at a bus stop in the area of Shadow Park Drive and Finchleigh Street in Laurel.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the 11-year-old male victim, who advised that he was at his school bus stop talking with friends when he noticed two other male teenagers at the intersection, who were known to him. The victim advised that one subject told him to leave the bus stop, but the victim refused. At this point, the suspect displayed a knife and both suspects began chasing the victim away from the area. Several officers canvassed the area for the suspects, but were unable to locate them. The investigation is being conducted by Western District Detectives, who are attempting to identify the suspects involved in the incident.
