2-Alarm Apartment Fire In Glen Burnie

UPDATE: According to the Maryland Gazette’s EB Furgurson III, a 65-year old woman is in the hospital suffering from life threatening injuries due to smoke inhalation. Two others were transported to the hospital as well.

UPDATE: One resident was rescued from the top floor and is being transported to BWMC emergency room.

Anne Arundel County fire crews are on the scene of a two-alarm fire at 7878 Tall Pines Court in Glen Burnie. The fire was repoeted in a multi story apartment building just after 3:30pm.  Initial reports indicated that people may have been trapped, but according to fire officials, there have not been any reported injuries. Officials believe the fire began in the basement third floor apartment.

The complex is just west of the Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
