Ravens School Scammer Arrested. An Annapolis man accused of scamming area school systems by promising appearances from Baltimore Ravens players is behind bars. Harford County officials said Joseph Gill was arrested in Aberdeen on Tuesday at the request of authorities in Queen Anne’s County.Police said Gill promised 17 schools in five counties appearances by Ravens players through his company, Odyssey Group LLC.In each case, police said Gill took the money, but since he had no contact with the Ravens organization, the schools were left with nothing.

Arundel Mills Slot Parlor Hiring. The slots parlor near Arundel Mills Mall is in need of workers.Maryland Live, which will operate the parlor, is expected to hire about 1,500 people in the coming months as it works towards an opening next summer.The president and general manager of Maryland Live told WBAL Radio that several clerical and management positions are now open, adding that applicants don’t have to have prior gaming experience.

Sexual Misconduct Probe Gets 2 City Officers Suspended.  Two female Baltimore police officers were suspended Wednesday amid allegations of sexual misconduct and harassment.While police aren’t saying much about the circumstances of the case, 11 News has learned the alleged incident was sexual in nature and took place in public while the officers were off duty.A third officer who was there when the alleged incident took place reported it to her commanders. The officer said the incident happened in October, but she reported it several weeks later.Department officials said the fact that they weren’t on the job doesn’t matter.

MD Paid Nearly $500K In Medicaid To Dead People. A state legislative audit said Maryland paid $426,000 in Medicaid to 10 people who were dead.The audit, released Wednesday, also found that between January 2008 and August 2011, $2.5 million in erroneous payments were made for 323 people who may have already been dead.The Baltimore Sun reported that state agencies have recouped about $115,000.
