Man Injured While Jumping Off MPT Tower. Anne Arundel County police have cited two men after one of them was injured in a jump from the Maryland Public Television tower.Authorities said 25-year-old Robert Morgan, of Fairfax, Va., climbed the tower in Crownsville early Wednesday morning and was injured when a parachute he was using failed to fully open after jumping from the tower.Morgan was treated for injuries at Shock Trauma.

Soldier Returns Home From Iraq, “Knights” Children.  Two boys got a very special surprise Thursday night when their mother took them to Medieval Times to see their father home from Iraq.The boys’ dad, 24-year Army veteran Lt. Col. Jeff Allen, returned from Iraq and dressed in costume to meet them. “Our boys love going to castles and getting knighted and all that kind of stuff, so I thought that this was going to be something excellent for them,” Allen said as he suited up for the surprise.

Jury Rules In Favor Of Schools In Bullying Suit. A couple who filed a $1.3 million school bullying lawsuit against the Baltimore City Schools system lost their case.A jury received the case Wednesday afternoon and decided Thursday morning that the district is not negligent.Shawna Sullivan and her husband, Eddie, claimed school officials did nothing to protect their children from bullying and harassment.

Woman Steals Jesus Statue, Brags On Facebook. Police in Fredericksburg said a 25-year-old woman stole a baby Jesus statue from a shopping center Nativity scene and bragged about it on her Facebook page, leading to her arrest.Amanda Crelia of Spotsylvania has been charged with grand larceny for her role in taking the statute from the Central Park shopping center, investigators said.Police said one of her Facebook friends saw the posting, snapped a screen shot and passed the information to authorities.The 80-pound statue was being stored in Crelia’s father’s garage, but he was not aware it was there, according to police.
