Man Charged In Glen Burnie Stabbing. Anne Arundel County police said they’ve arrested a man in connection with a stabbing in Glen Burnie on Tuesday. Police were called to Mary Lane and Oakwood Road about 6 p.m. after getting reports of a stabbing.The 55-year-old victim told police that he’d been stabbed in the stomach by someone he didn’t know during a fight.Officers arrested the suspect, identified as Chadwick Brown, 38, of Owings Mills, at the scene.The victim was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
2 Killed In Separate Anne Arundel Crashes. Anne Arundel County police are investigating two bad crashes, both of which were fatal.Police were called at about 7:15 p.m. Monday to Route 100 near Route 97 North in Glen Burnie for a three-vehicle crash.Police said a BMW driven by Adam Covington, 25, of Springfield, Va., cut several other vehicles off as it merged into a lane on Route 100, hitting a truck and then a car, which went off the roadway and overturned.
Instructor Pleads Guilty To Sex Assault Of Minor. A former rock climbing instructor has pleaded guilty to the sexual assault of a minor he used to teach.Michael Lyons, 31, of Rockville, was charged in June after the 14-year-old victim said he engaged in sex acts with her at the Earth Treks facility where Lyons worked in Columbia.Lyons pleaded guilty Wednesday in Howard County Circuit Court.He will be sentenced in February and could get up to 25 years in prison, but the state is expected to recommend 15 years, eight of which would be suspended.
