Police: Man Hid In Back Seat, Woman Robbed IN Glen Burnie. Police said a Glen Burnie woman was robbed by a man who hid in the backseat of her car.The incident happened about 4:30 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of the Glen Ridge Apartments on Glen Ridge Road. Anne Arundel County police said a 45-year-old woman entered her vehicle and that a man “rose” from the backseat and demanded her property.The woman handed her purse to the man, who fled on foot behind the apartment buildings.Officers canvassed the area for the culprit but couldn’t find him.The woman didn’t report any injuries.

Pets Stolen For Quick Cash.  Some people looking to make quick cash in the tough economy are stealing pets in what has become a booming and disturbing industry in Maryland.In early November, Joe Thompson had his 3-year-old Toy Shih-Tzu, Diva, in his hands during a routine midnight stroll in the 2800 block of Erdman Avenue in northeast Baltimore.

Facebook Financial Fraud On Rise. City officers are investigating an increase in con-artists attempting to use Facebook as a medium for financial fraud.The Computer & Electronics Crime Unit of the Baltimore City Police Department investigates, among other things, online scam reports. Police on Tuesday released an example of a Facebook post that intended to scam someone.

Polock Johnnys To Close At Lexington Market. The downtrodden economy has claimed another victim. Polock Johnny’s, a popular Baltimore eatery that dates to 1968, is closing its Lexington Market location this weekend. 11 News reporter Nadia Ramdass said loyal customers of the restaurant are upset about the news.The owner of the franchise told WBAL that she tried to stay afloat, but the economy proved to be unstable.”I don’t know who is going to take over, but it’s going to be a big shoe to fill,” said restaurant patron Kevin Doyle.
