Anne Arundel County Councilman Sent To Prison. A federal judge sent an Anne Arundel County councilman to prison on tax charges.Daryl D. Jones, 47, of Severn, admitted to failing to file personal income tax returns for four years and failed for file quarterly business payroll tax returns for six years, resulting in $108,369 in taxes owed, federal prosecutors said.A federal judge sentenced Jones on Monday to five months in prison followed by six months of home detention as part of one year of supervised release for failure to file a federal income tax return.

Davidsonville Pit Bull Attack Sends Jogger To Hospital. A man jogging through a park was attacked by three pit bull dogs, said Anne Arundel County police.Police were called to the Davidsonville Park in the 3100 block of Patuxent River Road Monday at about 1:30 p.m. for an aggressive dog complaint.The dogs were somehow on a leash and handled by an unknown man during the attack, who fled the scene with one of the dogs, said police. Animal control was able to find two of the dogs in the park.The victim was taken to Anne Arundel County Medical Center with wounds to his arms and legs.

Poodle Nurses Wounds After Attack By 2 Pit Bulls. A Baltimore woman’s poodle is nursing serious wounds after being attacked by two pit bulls.The attack happened in the Patterson Park neighborhood on Nov. 18.The woman said the pit bulls weren’t on a leash nor were they wearing collars, and they were roaming the neighborhood unattended. She said she wants the dogs and their owners to face the consequences.

VA Carjacking Suspect may Be In Maryland. Baltimore County police are looking for the public’s help in finding a carjacking and bank robbery suspect who police said is a young mother who built up years of street savvy as a member of the MS-13 gang.Investigators said that Stephanie Lynn Schwab, 26, robbed a pair of Virginia banks last week, then graduated to carjacking a woman in Catonsville on Thanksgiving.
