2 Men Sought In Anne Arundel Home Invasion. Police in Anne Arundel County are looking for two men in connection with a home invasion in Severn on Monday night.Police were called about 7 p.m. to a home in the 8200 block of Marlton Court, where a witness said two men knocked on the door of a home and then pulled the victim out once he opened it.One of the armed men struggled with the victim, who was eventually able to run to a neighbor’s house and call police.

Children get tons of candy on Halloween, and dentists say parents should know which can be the worst for causing cavities, as well as what to do with it all when you have too much.Pediatric dentists said the worst candy for teeth is anything sticky, such as taffy or hard candy, because they can break off crowns and fillings. Hard candies are more likely to get stuck between teeth, giving the candy plenty of time to start working on a cavity.

Crews Contain Howard County Hotel Fire. A Holiday Inn hotel was evacuated because of a Tuesday afternoon fire.The incident occurred about 2:10 p.m. at the hotel on Washington Boulevard and Route 175.An image from Sky Team 11 showed smoke coming from the roof of the building.No injuries were reported.A cause of the fire hasn’t been released.

State Math Scores Up, But So Is Concern. New test scores show that Maryland students have made progress in math. The question now is what more can the state do to improve student achievement, said 11 News education reporter Tim Tooten.The National Assessment of Education Progress tracks how the nation’s fourth- and fifth-graders are doing in reading and math. In both subjects, Maryland ranked in the top five.
