Overnight Stabbing In Crofton

UPDATE 10:16am 11/01/2011: From the Anne Arundel County Police Department, the investigation is still very active and they have detained two female persons of interest. The victim was taken to Shock-Trauma with NON life threatening injuries. At this time, the police believe the victim met the two women from Baltimore and brought them to his home in Crofton. An altercation ensues and he was stabbed in the upper extremities. The two women were stopped on Route 450 shortly after the attack.

Our media partner, WBAL-TV is reporting an overnight stabbing in Crofton. We drew some sharp criticism from our post on the increased crime in the community only two weeks ago. We will have a follow up on this shortly.

A 47-year-old man is recovering after an early-morning stabbing in Crofton.Anne Arundel County fire crews were called to Stoneham Road shortly before 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.Officials found the man suffering from stab wounds. The man, who hasn’t been identified, was taken to a local hospital. His condition wasn’t released.There’s currently no word on a suspect or possible motive.
