Double Homicide At Arundel Mills Mall

UPDATE 12:30OM November 12, 2011. Fox 45 in Baltimore is confirming that the suspect has indeed been shot along with a Prince George’s County Officer.

The suspect in the Arundel Mills Mall double-fatal shooting is dead after a shootout with police.

Authorities say Prince George’s County police shot the suspect, who was firing at officers at the intersection of Rydal Road and Millsboro Court late Saturday morning. An officer was also shot and is in unknown condition.

The suspect was wanted in connection to the killing of a man and a woman outside of Dave & Buster’s late Friday night.

No word on a motive.

An investigation is ongoing.

UPDATE 12:23PM November 12, 2011. We have received an unconfirmed report that the suspect involved in the shooting was killed in a gunfight this morning with Prince George’s County Police. We are trying to verify it now.

UPDATE 10:24AM November 12, 2011. From the Anne Arundel County Police, they have identified a suspect vehicle and are still investigating. They also stated that this was not a random act of violence and believes the two victims were targeted.

Eye On Annapolis originally reported the victims were two males. The police report corrects that–the victims were one male and one female. We regret the error.

 

Two men One man and one woman were discovered dead last night just before midnight outside of the Dave  & Busters at Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover with fatal gunshot wounds to the head.

Lt. Frank Tewey of the Anne Arundel County Police issued a brief statement:

On November 11, 2011 at approximately 11:55 p.m., the Anne Arundel County Police Department responded to the Arundel Mills Mall at 7000 Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover for a reported double fatal shooting.  An active investigation is in progress and no additional details are available at this time.  Preliminarily, a vehicle of interest has been developed.  Detectives are seeking a dark silver or gray hybrid type SUV seen in the area around the time of the incident.  Anyone with information concerning this incident should call the Anne Arundel County Police Department at 410-222-8610.
