Shooting Overnight In Annapolis

UPDATE 08:48am 10/01/2011: From the Annapolis City Police Department:

On October 1, 2011 at 1:30 a.m. Annapolis police officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Captains Circle for a shooting. Officers located two male victims outside with gunshot wounds.  Both victims were transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.   

The victims are identified as Guan J R Brown, 33, and James Donta Wilson, 30, both of Annapolis. Brown is in critical condition as a result of a gunshot wound to the torso.  Wilson is being treated for a gunshot wound to the leg and is in fair condition.    

Officers are investigating the circumstances of the shooting.  Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Hartlove at 410-268-9000.

Two people were shot last night just after 2am on Captain’s Circle off of Admiral Drive in Annapolis.  One patient was transported with life threatening injuries to the femoral artery to Anne Arundel Medical Center. The other was also transported with a less severe wound to the upper legs.

At the time of publication, no further information has been released by the police or fire department and the condition of the patients is unknown.
