Verizon Gives $19K Grant To AACC

The Verizon Foundation’s Jason Groves (center) presented a $19,765 grant to the Anne Arundel Community College Foundation to support AACC programming that aims to improve adult literacy. Accepting the donation on behalf of AACC are Melissa Beardmore, vice president for learning resources management (left) and Faith Harland-White, dean of the School of Continuing and Professional Studies. The Verizon Foundation will be recognized for its support at AACC’s 50th Anniversary Gala on Oct. 15 at the Roger W. “Pip” Moyer Community Recreation Center in Annapolis.
