Rotaract Cigar Dinner

The Annapolis Rotaract Club and The Smoke Shop will host their 4th annual Cigar Dinner to help raise funds for the club’s international charity project, the Philippine Box Project. This program was started by an Annapolis Rotaract founding member, Keith Villones, in 2008 as a cultural custom of returning to his homeland and bringing gifts or donations to his father’s village. On his second trip he was able to fill 11 boxes. The club this year will help him fill at least 15 or more boxes not only for his father’s village but also several orphanages and youth homeless shelters in need.

Open to anyone age 21 and older, the event includes unlimited beer, wine, and spirits as well as non-alcoholic beverages, a buffet dinner prepared by Luna Blu, and a selection of Ashton cigars as well as a silent auction and a 50-50 raffle. The Cigar Dinner will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at Port Annapolis – Overlook Pavilion, 7074 Bembe Beach Road, in Annapolis.

Tickets are $100. To purchase, RSVP to Lauren Simpson at 240-620-1661 or e-mail [email protected], and then send a check payable to Annapolis Rotaract Club, 1127 Lake Heron Drive, Unit 2A, Annapolis, MD 21403 or purchase them at the door if  reservations have been made.

Rotaract is a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. Rotaract clubs are either community or university based, and they’re sponsored by a local Rotary club. This makes them true “partners in service” and key members of the family of Rotary. This club is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Annapolis.
