Another Hit And Run, This Time In Crownsville

On 09/02/11 at approximately 0451 hrs, Officers from Western District responded to 955 Generals Highway, Crownsville, for report of subject lying in the front yard of the residence.  Further investigation revealed the subject was walking southbound on the northbound shoulder of Generals Highway when he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Generals Highway.  The vehicle failed to stop and the victim crawled to a nearby residence where he was found lying in the yard by responding officers.  The victim was not sure what time the incident occurred but believed he was crawling for a couple hours before officers arrived.  The victim advised he believed the suspect vehicle was yellow in color. He was subsequently transported to Shock Trauma with severe leg injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.  Anyone with information on the hit and run should contact the Anne Arundel County Police Western District at 410-222-6155.
