Annapolis Greenscape Project

Mayor Joshua J. Cohen invites all residents to join him on Saturday, October 22, to participate in “Make a Difference Day” – the fall GreenScape project for 2011. “Make a Difference Day” is a national program encouraging groups and individuals to volunteer in their community.

Volunteers may order up to 100 purple tulip bulbs and 100 yellow daffodil bulbs for each project. Planting recommendations for massed plantings are eight to 10 tulip bulbs or five daffodil bulbs to be planted per each square foot of garden. The bulbs are free and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Reservations for bulbs will begin on Monday, September 19. To order, please e-mail Marisa Wittlinger at [email protected] and provide your name, contact phone number and organization (if applicable), and indicate what public landscape area you will be planting and the number of bulbs you’re requesting.

Bulb pick-up will be held Monday through Friday, October 17-21 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Roger “Pip” Moyer Community Recreation Center at 273 Hilltop Lane in Annapolis.
