Body Found In Severn. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department said the body of a man was found Saturday in Severn.Anne Arundel County police and fire officials found the body in the 100 block of Gambrills Road at about 10:30 a.m.Anne Arundel County police were handling the investigation.

Diverted Flight Finally Lands At BWI. On the eve of the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, a nonstop flight from Albuquerque to Baltimore encountered an hours-long disruption Saturday afternoon when a passenger’s “suspicious behavior” prompted an unscheduled stop in Nashville.At about 2:10 p.m. Saturday, Flight 1307 landed at Nashville International Airport, where authorities took a man off the flight and asked the 115 passengers to disembark 10 at a time.”It was really scary,” said Jenna Dunlap, an 11-year-old passenger. “I was nervous.”

Ravens Throttle Steelers. The Baltimore Ravens vented eight months of frustration within the span of three incredibly satisfying hours. Joe Flacco threw three touchdown passes, Haloti Ngata led an inspired defense that forced a team-record seven turnovers, and the Ravens defeated the defending AFC champion Pittsburgh Steelers 35-7 Sunday. Ray Rice ran for 107 yards and two scores for the Ravens, who bolted to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and never let up against their bitter rivals. It was a rematch of a second-round playoff matchup last January, when the Steelers rallied to beat Baltimore 31-24.

2 Officers Injured While Escorting NFL Commissioner. The Baltimore City Police Department said two motorcyle officers were injured Sunday morning in an accident during part of an escort for National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell.The escort was requested by the NFL because of security concerns surrounding the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. The Goodell convoy came from Martin State Airport in Middle River and was on its way to Baltimore when the crash occurred.
