Police: Domestic Dispute Leads To Stabbing Death. Anne Arundel County police are investigating the death of a man at the home he shared with a woman who police say stabbed him.Police were called to a home in the unit block of 5th Avenue in Glen Burnie around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday for a domestic dispute.At the scene, officers found 47-year-old James Pfaff suffering from a stab wound to his torso. He was taken to Shock Trauma, where he later died.
Annapolis To Re-Open Waterworks Park. An Annapolis park is reopening after being closed for more than a year.The Waterworks Park off Defense Highway had been closed to save money and prepare for repairs to an aging dam.But after numerous requests, city officials decided to reopen it next month with the help of volunteer rangers.The park offers three freshwater fishing ponds, a picnic pavilion and several nature trails.Department of Public Works officials said the dam has leaks but is safe.
Aruba Attorney: Client Cooperating In Missing Woman Case.The traveling companion of a 35-year-old Maryland woman who went missing in Aruba said she vanished while snorkeling, but he’s now being held as the search has been suspended.Robyn Gardner, 35, of Frederick, went missing Aug. 2. The man she was with, Gary Giordano of Montgomery County, was detained as he was leaving to come home to Maryland.
MD Launches 3 Digit Phone Line For Traffic News. Motorists in Maryland can now receive up-to-the-minute traffic information through a new phone system. Beginning Thursday, drivers can dial 511 to get the latest on traffic-related news, such as traffic jams, lane-closing roadwork and weather-related delays.Maryland State Highway Administration spokeswoman Valerie Burnette Edgar said callers also can choose to receive information about the Baltimore and Washington transit systems and flight information from Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
