Calling all former high school and college choristers, church, synagogue and community choral singers! Come experience a rehearsal with the dynamic Encore Chorale conducted by Jeanne Kelly, past conductor of the United States Naval Academy Women’s Glee Club, Georgetown University Concert Choir and Senior Singers’ Chorales of the Levine School of Music.
Singers improve their voice, meet new friends and enjoy a great new adventure singing music in four parts in preparation to join other Encore Chorales from Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, for exciting holiday concerts including the Kennedy Center. There are no auditions and singers may sit to perform. Past concert venues have included the Kennedy Center Terrace Theater and Millennium Stages. The Chorale has also appeared on CBS News “Eye on America” with Dan Rather. Area Encore Chorales include Smithsonian Residents Associates Program, Langston Brown Senior Center of Arlington, Goodwin Houses of Alexandria and Baileys Crossroads, Potomac Academy of George Mason University, Springfield, Schweinhaut Senior Center in Silver Spring, Washington Conservatory of Music at Glen Echo Park, Anne Arundel Community College, Southern Maryland at Asbury-Solomons and Myerberg Senior Center in Baltimore.
