The Bowie Baysox have announced the Brian Matusz Bobblehead Giveaway as the Baysox take on the Altoona Curve at Prince George’s Stadium Thursday, Sept. 1, at 7:05 p.m.  The first 250 fans ages 13 and up receive the bobbling rendition of the Orioles left-handed pitcher.

Baysox Director of Marketing Brandan Kaiser looks forward to the giveaway.  “We have had some great Thursday giveaways this season,” Kaiser said.  “We had an umbrella giveaway and a mystery bobblehead giveaway, we thought it would be perfect to cap the Thursday night giveaways by recognizing one of the best pitchers to pass through our organization.”

Matusz made eight starts for the Baysox in 2009, going 7-0 with a 1.55 ERA before being promoted directly to Baltimore.  The bobblehead features Matusz throwing off a pitching mound in a white Baysox jersey with his number 11.

Baysox Baseball – We’ll Knock Your ‘Sox Off.  The Baysox 19th season as the class Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles is underway.  Parking is free at every Baysox home game and tickets are now available at www.baysox.com or by calling the Baysox box office at (301) 464-4865.
