The Bowie Baysox  have announced that 2011 playoff ticket strips are available for purchase beginning Thursday, Aug. 11, at 10 a.m. The tickets are available as a strip of six lower reserved seat tickets for $60, covering every potential 2011 playoff game.

If the Baysox win the 2011 Eastern League Championship, one fan who purchased a playoff strip will be randomly selected to win an authentic 2011 Eastern League Championship Ring. Fans receive one entry for every playoff strip purchased.

Fans can purchase playoff strips online at www.BaysoxShop.com or by calling the Baysox Group Sales department at (301) 464-4880 until 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2. Fans purchasing tickets online have the option to select seating on the first base side, the third base side or behind home plate, and season ticket holders have the option of reserving their current seats for the playoffs.

Individual game playoff tickets will become available once the playoff schedule is set. Individual game lower reserved seat tickets are $14, fans save $4 per seat per game by purchasing the playoff strip.

If the Baysox finish in first place in the Western Division, the first playoff game at Prince George’s Stadium would be Wednesday, Sept. 7, and the second game would be Thursday, Sept. 8. If a fifth game is needed in the first round, it would be played in Bowie on Sunday, Sept 11.

If Bowie finishes second in the division, they would play the third game of series at home Friday, Sept. 9, and if necessary, game four Saturday, Sept. 10. If the Baysox make the Eastern League Championship, they would host the final three games on Thursday, Sept. 15 and if necessary Friday, Sept. 15, and Saturday, Sept. 17. If the Baysox fail to win the championship, no ring will be given away.

If the Baysox do not play five home games in the playoffs, fans can use the value of the tickets for unplayed games toward 2011 ticket plans or Baysox Bucks. Baysox Bucks can be used during the 2011 season to purchase individual game tickets or concessions and merchandise inside the stadium.

Unused individual game Baysox tickets, Fielder’s Choice and Flex Pack vouchers from the 2011 regular season are not redeemable for playoff tickets. All regular season tickets Fielder’s Choice and Flex Pack vouchers must be redeemed before the Baysox finish the regular season Monday, Sept. 5, at 2:05 p.m.
