Route 50 East Reopened After Overnight Fatal Crash In Anne Arundel

Maryland Route 50 East was shut down just west of I-97 early this morning for a single vehicle, fatal crash. All lanes were re-opened around 8:00am. Route 50 is the primary conduit for traffic headed to the beach.

Just before 4am, Anne Arundel County fire crews were dispatched to the scene where they found a femal had been ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center.
