7 To Get Organs From Girl Struck By Car In Severna Park.  Seven people will get organs from a 17-year-old girl fatally injured while crossing a highway in Maryland.Kara Micciche’s father told The Capital of Annapolisthat he argued with his daughter about being an organ donor when she got her driver’s license but eventually gave in.Joseph Micciche said that it makes him proud to carry out his daughter’s wishes.Micciche and her boyfriend were crossing Governor Ritchie Highway in Anne Arundel County Tuesday night when they were struck by a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier. Both were airlifted to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.The other teen, Sean Snyder, was listed in critical condition.

Anne Arundel County 3-Alarm Fire Spreads QuicklyFirefighters responding to a fire in Anne Arundel County encountered a tractor-trailer fully engulfed and flames moving quickly.The fire was reported shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of Mt. Zion Marlboro Road in Lothian.The three-alarm fire damaged two tractor-trailers and a warehouse that formerly housed tobacco, fire officials said.It took 85 firefighters to bring the fire under control at about 5:40 a.m.

4 Accused Of Stealing Hospital Patients’ IDs. A federal grand jury has indicted a former employee of the University of Maryland Medical Center and three others in what prosecutors said was a scheme to steal patients’ identities.Officials said the indictment was unsealed Thursday following the arrests of the hospital worker, 47-year-old Kenneth Elliott McDowell, as well as 21-year-old Wendy Hinton and 54-year-old William White, all of Baltimore.Authorities are still seeking 20-year-old Devin Jarmal Smith of Baltimore.U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein said the defendants have been charged with preying upon seriously ill hospital patients and their families by using their personal information to access their credit accounts and open new ones.

Crash Victim Loses Unborn Child. A late-night crash in Baltimore County injured three people, including a pregnant woman. Baltimore County police said two cars collided at the intersection of Charles Street and Gatehouse Drive in Towson at about 11:15 p.m. Friday.The driver of the car, who was nine months pregnant, was rushed to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where her baby was stillborn.A passenger in the car was also taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital and the driver of the other car was taken to Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Their conditions were unknown.
