Annapolis Rotary Installs New Officers

William J. Regan, of Annapolis, vice president of C&F Mortgage Co. in Annapolis, was recently installed as president of the Rotary Club of Annapolis for the 2011-2012 year.  A Rotarian since March 2005, Mr. Regan has served as president-elect, vice president, secretary, and lane director of the club.  Regan said he intends to focus on building the club’s membership, and asked his fellow Rotarians to find potential new members by “thinking about FRANK – friends, relatives, associates, neighbors, and kids.”

The installation of the club’s officers was conducted by Claude Morissette, of Potomac, District Governor of Rotary District 7620.  Elaine M. Shanley, of Annapolis, financial planner with Young & Co., is president-elect, and Bernadette Lee Carson, of Annapolis, president of Carson Consultants of Annapolis, is vice president.  April Nyman, of Davidsonville, executive director of the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County, is treasurer.  Marshall P. Larner, of Annapolis, principal of J. Gordon &Co., Inc, is secretary.  Chara Hutzell, of Annapolis, director of government and business travel for Loews Annapolis Hotel, is immediate past president.

Lane directors for the coming year are Navy Capt. James Campbell, of Davidsonville, Class of 1972 Distinguished Military Professor for Character Education at the U.S. Naval Academy, membership service; Patricia Burnham, of Annapolis, owner and president of Patricia’s Business Interiors, Inc., community service; Rachael Blair, of Severna Park, founder and chairman of Kindness in Action Foundation, international service; Mary P. Felter, of Arnold, public information officer, Anne Arundel Country Department of Aging and Disabilities, public relations; Vienna Laurendi, of Annapolis, executive director of Bay Woods of Annapolis, youth & vocational service; and David Lillefloren, of Annapolis, director of fleet performance and reliability for Constellation Energy, club service.
