Serious Accident On Mayo Road In Edgewater

UPDATE 09:32 pm 06/07/2011: From Anne Arundel County Public Schools’ spokesman, Bob Mosier, all four students who were transported to the hospital were evaluated and released without injury.

UPDATE 06:20pm 06/07/2011: The Edgewater-Davidsonville Patch has a good accounting of the accident and photos and interviews with a witness.

UPDATE 05:17pm 06/07/2011: From the Anne Arundel County Public Schools, they are confirming that it was a county owned school bus involved. There were four students transported to the hospital–two from Central Special School, and two from Central Elementary School. The extent or existence of any injuries is unknown and the transport to the hospital may have been precautionary.

There is a serious accident at 115 Mayo Road in Edgewater involving three cars and a bus. It is unknown at this time if it is a school bus.

From fire personnel on the scene, there are 9 patients being transported to the hospital. The extent and type of injuries are unknown.
