Human Remains Found In Chesapeake Bay. Maryland Natural Resources Police said a boater found human remains in the Chesapeake Bay in Anne Arundel County. Police said the remains were found south of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge around noon Sunday.Officials said the medical examiner’s office in Baltimore will conduct an autopsy. The body has not yet been identified. The special operations division of the Natural Resources Police is investigating.
Chick N Ruth Owner Organizes Ride To Assist Wounded Vets. A nonprofit organization that helps wounded military and emergency management members and their families is holding a classic car and motorcycle ride to raise money.The third annual Faces of Valor ride and family picnic will be held June 25 beginning at 10:30 a.m. starting at the Outback Steakhouse in Annapolis. Faces of Valor raises money to give scholarship and financial assistance to those in the military, fire, police and emergency management services who have been injured or killed in the line of duty.Last year, the organization was able to honor Sgt. Eric Edmundson, who was critically wounded by an IED in Iraq and is now a quadriplegic and unable to speak. His dad and his wife had to quit their jobs to take care of him full-time.
2 Accused Of Scalding 3-Year-Old Boy. An Eastern Shore mother and grandmother face child abuse charges after police said a 3-year-old boy was placed in water that was more than 115 degrees.According to Wicomico County charging documents, Wynita Dale, 25, put her son in scalding bath water to punish him for a potty training accident.Police said the boy was kept in the water for about an hour. He suffered second- and third-degree burns and was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center for treatment.Dale and Joanne Gale were charged this week with child abuse and assault, according to charging documents.

Protesters made sure their voices were heard as hundreds of mayors from around the country converged on Baltimore for the U.S. Conference of Mayors.Gov. Martin O’Malley spoke about the challenges leaders faced as he welcomed attendees that included Chicago’s new mayor and former White House chief of staff Rahm Emmanuel.Outside, several groups rallied in support of a resolution up for debate that would shift money from military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan to programs in the U.S., WBAL-TV’s Kim Dacey reported.
