Man Possibly Struck By Lightning In Pasadena.  The Anne Arundel County Fire Department said a man has collapsed on the fishing pier in Fort Smallwood Park in Pasadena during a storm late Sunday afternoon.Witnesses said they heard a loud clap of thunder in the area and noticed the man had collapsed on the fishing pier.Medics said they responded to the fishing pier at 5:40 p.m. and found a Hispanic man lying on the pier, unconscious and unresponsive.

Glen Burnie Man Dies In Ocean City Capsizing. Six people were rescued by Station Ocean City crews after their boat capsized Saturday morning.A good Samaritan contacted Coast Guard watchstanders at about 9 a.m. and reported that an 18-foot pleasure boat capsized at the mouth of the Ocean City Inlet, and people were thrown overboard.Two rescue boats responded and recovered all six people, including a 52-year-old man from Glen Burnie, who was unconscious and unresponsive.

Congressman’s Nephew Fatally Shot.  U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings said Sunday his nephew was killed in a random shooting near Old Dominion University in Virginia.The Baltimore Democrat spoke exclusively with WBAL-TV 11 News Sunday and issued a statement on the death of Christopher Cummings in his off-campus apartment. The congressman said his 20-year-old nephew was killed Friday in a robbery at his house near ODU and his roommate, Jake Carey, was critically wounded. Both were students at the university in Norfolk, Va.

Residents Clean Up After Strong Storms. Some neighborhoods in Harford County are doing cleanup duty after Sunday night’s severe weather.Shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday, it went from blue skies to torrential downpours with high winds in almost an instant, residents said. In Forest Hill, backyard furniture was tossed around and trees were downed, knocking out power to some parts of town.Carrie Lisiewski said her children’s play set was blown over by the storm.
