Pool’s Open!

Annapolis Recreation and Parks announces that the Dunn Municipal Pool at Truxtun Park opened Saturday, May 28 at 11 a.m. Located on Pump House Road in Annapolis, the outdoor pool will be open weekends until Saturday, June 11 and will be open through the summer season until Labor Day weekend early September.

Pool hours of operation:

Weekends and Holidays:  11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays:  12:30 to 6 p.m.

Tuesdays, Thursdays: 12:30 – 5 p.m.

Lap Swimming, Monday through Friday:  11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Daily admission:

Under 3:  Free with paying adult

Ages 3-17:  $3

Ages 18-61:  $4

Ages 62+:  $3

Commercially made bathing suits are required. Swim diapers, plus eco-suits, are required for non-potty trained children.

Swim lessons are offered to all ages starting as young as six months old. Lessons are provided to beginner, intermediate and advanced swimmers. For a complete list of swim lessons, dates and times, go to pages 7-8 at www.annapolis.gov/programguide. The pool can also be rented for private events.

The Truxtun Park Pool is also home to the Penguins Swim Team. The Penguins will have home swim meets on June 25 and July 16. The pool will be open 1 to 7 p.m. on those two dates.
