More than 430 women gathered the evening of Wednesday, June 15, for the annual Paca Girlfriends event at Historic Annapolis Foundation’s William Paca House & Garden. With picture-perfect June weather and a growing reputation among women of all ages as a festive venue, this year’s party set a new record as the largest event of its kind at the historic location.
Now in its third year, the event has raised over $30,000 for Historic Annapolis Foundation, and has increased awareness of the organization’s many programs, events and activities, including the availability of the historic home and its two-acre manicured garden for private parties and business functions.
Once again “Pacatinis,” the signature drink of the event, were a hit among the attendees who also enjoyed fine food, wine, and browsing the offerings of several local businesses that cater to women.
Guests sampled a variety of culinary treats donated by Ken’s Creative Kitchen, Carrol’s Creek Cafe, Wild Orchid Cafe, Caroline’s Cakes, Middleton’s Tavern, Luna Blu, Sofi’s Crepes, Tsunami, Lemongrass, Claire Owens Catering and Barbara Duvall’s Bowl of Cherries, as well as offerings from Wine Cellars of Annapolis.
This year’s event also featured a number of tables featuring services and products appealing to women. Table sponsors included Aid Through Trade, The Wayfarers, PSS MediSpa, Sandy’s Stitches, Chesapeake Eye Care and Laser Center, East-West Healing Arts, Premier Fitness, Annapolis Language School, M.A.D. Genie Designs and Historic Annapolis Museum.
