Last Friday, County Executive Leopold joined Department of Detention Facilities Superintendent Terry Kokolis and Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corp. CEO Kirk Murray at Ordinance Road to present certificates to the first eight inmates enrolled in a 90-hour welding vocational program at the facility.
The aim of the program is for inmates to learn marketable skills they can use to make a positive contribution to society upon release.
