This six minute video highlights the 2011 Great Chesapeake Bay Swim held yesterday, June 12, 2011. The swim is an open water swim from Annapolis to Kent Island (4.4 miles) and included 650 swimmers. Prior to the event was a one mile swim. Unique this year, Craig Dietz, born without limbs, attempted the swim–however due to storms in the ares, he and approximately 80 other swimmers were plucked from the Chesapeake Bay prior to the end of the race.
