Motorcycle Crash Victims’ Names Released

UPDATE 11:18am 06/19/2011: The Capital has published an obituary for Craig E. “Van” Eney including the visitation and service scheduled for tomorrow at 10:00am to noon at the John M Taylor Funeral Home on Duke of Gloucester Street.

UPDATE 01:19pm 06/17/2011: The Severna Park Patch published an obituary for Kelcey Silva. A gathering will be held at the Barranco Funeral Home in Severna Park on Monday, June 20, 2011 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.

The names of the two young adults who were involved in yesterday’s fatal motorcycle crash have been released.  Both 20, Craig “Van” Eney and Kelcey Silva died yesterday as a result of the crash.

Eney, from Annapolis was a Severn School graduate and a rising junior at Randolf-Macon College in Ashland Virginia. He had just celebrated his 20th birthday in late May.

Silva, 19, of Severna Park was a graduate of Severna Park High School and a rising junior at Towson University. She would have been 20 in October.

The two were involved in a motorcycle crash when the operator (Eney) fled a traffic stop by the Annapolis Police Department. He lost control of the motorcycle and crashed on King George Street near the intersection of Route 450.
