On the morning of April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey, Prince William and Kate exchanged vows. That same evening, on this side of the pond, 330 guests from The Summit School’s community of friends, businesses, and staff bowled the night away in royal style.

Guests arrived at Greenway Bowl in Odenton wearing bridal gowns, tuxes, tiaras, or crowns. The entrance to the alley was protected by royal guards (Midshipmen 2/C John Mutton and Alex Foley). The alley was decorated for a regal celebration and wedding photos with the royal couple were encouraged.

Guests dined on food, including a wedding cake, all generously donated by 18 local restaurants and caterers.

A silent auction and live auction capped off the evening. The event resulted in a net profit of $93,000 to benefit The Summit School which serves bright students with dyslexia and other learning differences.
