Naptown BarBAYq In Full Swing Despite Threat Of Rain

The skies looked threatening. It even sprinkled a little bit here and there, but that did not dampen the spirits of thousands of people who turned out to support the Parole Rotary at the first ever BarBAYq at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

BBQ enthusiasts from as far away as Texas came to Annapolis to show off their recipes and to have the chance to win the People’s Choice Award.  Here is a video and some snapshots taken this afternoon.

The event continues until 7:00pm tonight. Bring your appetite as there is more food than you can imagine and you will not go away hungry as one of our twitter followers told us:

Admission is free. Parking ranges from free to $10. All goods at the event at purchased with “Rotary Buckaroos”–trade in your cash and pay with buckaroos. ATMs are on the site as are portable restrooms!
