BRAC Jobs Are Here–Now What?

The Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation (AAWDC) and the Howard County Office of Workforce Development is hosting a BRAC Jobs 101 presentation on May 3, 2011 to update the community on where the BRAC related  jobs are,  what type of jobs are available and how to apply for them.

According to Kirkland Murray, President and CEO of AAWDC, “People want to know where the jobs are that they keep hearing about. We are sponsoring this presentation to assist Anne Arundel County residents to learn more about the BRAC related job opportunities.  This presentation will give federal agencies and businesses a venue to reach residents looking for work, let them know the most efficient way to apply for positions,  and what is available now and in the future.”

The program will include a BRAC update from Robert Leib, the Special Assistant to County Executive Leopold on BRAC and Education, a panel of government agency representatives, and a selection of government contractors and surrounding businesses. A representative from DISA will explain the security clearance process. The event will take place on May 3, 2011 in the Arundel High School auditorium at 1001 Annapolis Rd in Gambrills from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  Advance registration is requested at [email protected].
