Rescue crews are searching Saturday for a missing boater in the Severn River near Annapolis.U.S. Coast Guard, Maryland State Police and Natural Resources Police crews are searching for Mark Harbison, 40, who is believed to have fallen into the water near the mouth of the Severn River near Annapolis.
NRP said crews are searching from the Severn River from the Chesapeake Bay down to the Thomas Point Lighthouse.Police said the operator of a 30-foot cabin cruiser fishing vessel notified them that they believed their sole passenger fell overboard. Police said the boat operator noticed Harbison had disappeared for as long as 10 to 15 minutes.Coast Guard officials said they received a call from the operator shortly after 3:30 a.m.
Any boaters in the area should be on the lookout.
