Baysox Chase Birdies On Front Nine

The Bowie Baysox have announced that Golf Night at Prince George’s Stadium will be Wednesday, June 1, as the team takes on the Richmond Flying Squirrels at 7:05 p.m.  The event features a special ceremonial first pitch and various golf-themed giveaways, including three pairs of tickets to watch the U.S. Open at the Congressional Country Club in June.

Baysox Director of Marketing Brandan Kaiser looks forward to the event.  “Fans can win some great prizes on Golf Night,” Kaiser said.  “Fans could leave the game with free rounds of golf, free rounds of minigolf from Severna Park Golf Center, golf movies like Caddyshack or Happy Gilmore, or the ultimate prize, a pair of tickets for the final round of the U.S. Open.”

To win the U.S. Open tickets, fans can enter a free raffle on the concourse level of the stadium.  The Baysox will give away three sets of tickets: two tickets for the practice round Monday, June 13, two tickets to the Opening Round Thursday, June 16, and two tickets to the Final Round Sunday, June 19.

Crofton, Md. residents Gary Carpenter and Gary Carpenter, Jr. will throw out ceremonial first pitches for the game after winning the 2010 European Father and Son Golf Championship in Spain.

Baysox Baseball – We’ll Knock Your ‘Sox Off. The Baysox 19th season as the class Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles is underway.  Parking is free at every Baysox home game and tickets are now available at www.baysox.com or by calling the Baysox box office at (301) 464-4865.
