Car Rams Into Annapolis Repair Center.  Emergency crews in Annapolis had to help pull a car from a building after a woman lost control and rammed into it Monday afternoon. Crews responded to the Oceanic Auto International Repair Center in the 1200 block of West Street around 1:30 p.m. Monday.The Annapolis Fire Department said responding crews found a car inside the building on a lift.

Anne Arundel Police: 88 Year-Old Woman’s Room BurglarizedAnne Arundel County police are investigating a burglary that involved an 88-year-old woman in Pasadena.Police responded just after 1 a.m. Sunday to the 7700 block of Catherine Avenue and learned that the woman was awakened by someone who broke into her room. The burglar placed a hand over the woman’s mouth, police said, adding that the woman started screaming when she realized what was going on.Other occupants of the home responded to her room, and the culprit fled the scene, authorities said. Several officers, a K-9 unit and a police aviation unit responded to the residence, but the culprit wasn’t found.

O’Malley To Sign Illegal Immigrant Tuition Bill.  Gov. Martin O’Malley will sign a bill allowing illegal immigrants to pay in-state college tuition, if they meet certain conditions. He’ll also sign a bill to create a prescription drug monitoring program. The Democratic governor is set to sign the bill Tuesday in Annapolis. The measure would allow illegal immigrants to pay in-state tuition rates at public colleges if they complete two years at a community college. Students also will have to show that their parents or legal guardian have paid state income taxes.

Maryland Gets $22M Stimulus Rejected By Florida. Maryland is gladly accepting what the state of Florida is rejecting.The federal government is giving Maryland a slice of a $2 billion pie of transportation stimulus money that the Sunshine State wasn’t willing to put on its plate.State officials said Maryland’s chunk of change is just the beginning to giving train travelers in the state a much faster ride.The Susquehanna River Bridge carries Amtrak and MARC train passengers between Perryville and Havre de Grace and onto other northeast corridor destinations.
