According to Annapolis City spokesman, Phill McGowan, City Hall will be undergoing a “major renovation” in the coming months.
The Department of Neighborhood and Environmental Programs (DNEP), which is currently on the second floor of City Hall (same floor as the Council Chambers) will be moved to 145 Gorman Street to better work with Planning and Zoning.
The Mayor’s Office and the City Manager’s Office will be relocated to the DNEP space after the renovation is done. An in house architect is currently doing a space study to determine how to remodel the area.
The Public Information Office will be relocated across the street into the City’s television studios which are nearing completion. According to McGowan, the move and renovations will not occur until the television studio space is available; so a specific timeline was unavailable.
