Intrigue Floral Design At Phila. Flower Show

Melissa Huston, of Annapolis’s own Intrigue Floral Design, will be joining some of the best designer’s in the country at the Philadelphia Flower show the first week in March. She will be volunteering with Schaffer Designs ’major floral exhibit and creating her own smaller display. Among their many awards, Schaffer Designs has won “Best Achievement Award” For Design of a Polar Fantasy in 2010 and “Best Achievement Award” For Best Dramatic Use of Color at the 2009 Philadelphia Flower Show.

A stunning new feature of the 2011 Philadelphia International Flower Show will be the “Floral Showcase,” a display of the newest and most exquisite flower varieties and floral designs.  Melissa Huston, an Edgewater resident, will be representing Intrigue and designing for the showcase. She has been a spectator for years, but this is her first trip to the flower show as a participant.  Intrigue’s display, which will sit on an 8’ platform, will feature tall metal vases with a color story in purples, blues, and mint greens.  Melissa and Intrigue’s showcase will be on display March 6-8, and Schaffer Design’s “An American in Paris” can be seen March 6-13, 2011.
