Local families bucked the winter weather and celebrated beach-inspired activities at a recent Winter Beach Party sponsored by the Arnold Christian Academy at 365 Jones Station Road Arnold, MD 21012.
The event occurred Jan. 15, 2011 and offered games, contests, face painting, food, children’s crafts, seminars, demonstrations, and family-friendly vendors from the community.
Local vendors included Active Body & Health, East Coast Martial Arts, Educational Resource Group, Big Vanilla, Bark Busters, Kids First Swim Schools, L’Ecole de Danse, LMB Studios, Feel Well Studio, the Arnold Volunteer Fire & Police Department, Jason’s Music, Gotta Swing, and the Annapolis Traditional Music Society.
Many volunteers from the school were seen helping out in the kitchen, leading games, handing out door prizes, and welcoming guests.
The school also sponsored their first annual “Catch the Wave” coloring contest for children between the ages of 4-10 years of age. The winning entries were chosen by the students of Arnold Christian Academy for attention to detail, uniqueness and personal style and were awarded by Arnie, the official mascot of Arnold Christian Academy.
