Ticket sales are now under way for Opera AACC’s comic performances of Gilbert and Sullivan’s hilarious classic operetta, “The Mikado.”

Benefiting Save the Coconuts

The performance is sponsored by Save the Coconuts, with half of the proceeds going to STC.

Sung in English, the show features a talented cast: Michael Begley (Columbia) as The Mikado or emperor of Japan; David Hancock (Annapolis) as Pooh-Bah, one of the lords; Kristina Tardif Banks (Annapolis), an AACC alumna, as Yum-Yum, a ward of the Lord High Executioner of Titipu; and Dyana Neal (Baltimore), an on-air personality for Baltimore classical music station WBJC-91.5 FM, as Pitti-Sing, also a ward of the Lord High Executioner.

Annapolis artist Rebecca Snure, a silk painter and silk scarf designer (www.nectarsilks.com) will display Mikado-inspired silk art and paintings in the adjoining Pascal Center for Performing Arts Gallery during the run of the show.
