Man’s Body Found In Icy Drainage Pond.  An hours-long search of a drainage pond in Anne Arundel County led authorities to discover a young man’s body submerged in icy water.County fire officials said crews found the body of a man in his late 20s early Sunday afternoon in a drainage pond in Edgewater. Authorities said they believe they know the man’s identity, but did not immediately release his name.Rescue crews were called at about 9:30 a.m. to a location near Stepneys Lane and Riverton Place near the old Southern District Police Station in Edgewater.

Teens Arrested In Laurel Armed RobberyAnne Arundel County Police said two suspects were arrested in connection with the armed robbery of two people experiencing car problems Saturday in Laurel.When officers arrived in the area of Marcey Creek Road and Russett Green at about 11:30 p.m., the victims said they had been robbed at knife point by one of four suspects who ran from nearby bushes. One of the victims told police he was punched and knocked down during the incident. The victim also said one of the masked suspects used some type of electronic control device, similar to a Taser and stunned him in the back before fleeing with the undisclosed property.

Maryland Transit Employee Struck, Injured In Hit-And-RunAnne Arundel County police said a Maryland Transit employee was struck by a vehicle Friday and left lying in the middle of a major highway in Glen Burnie.Maryland Transit police said the hit-and-run accident happened near the Cromwell Fields Light Rail Station at 7390 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd. at about 7:30 p.m.The victim, identified as Enid Choloh Dukule, was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma in critical condition.

End Of The Road: Baltimore Ravens Fall To PIttsburgh Steelers 34-21. The Baltimore Ravens give up a first-half lead to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC divisional playoff game Saturday.Ben Roethlisberger hit rookie Antonio Brown on a 58-yard pass play on third-and-19, and Rashard Mendenhall scored from the 2 with 1:33 remaining to give the Steelers a 31-24 comeback victory.The Steelers, 9-0 against division teams in the playoffs, advance to their fifth AFC championship game in 10 seasons next Sunday in Pittsburgh with the Jets. They will be play to reach the Super Bowl for third time in six seasons.
