Glen Burnie Man Arrested For Threatening To Burn Neighbor’s House

The following was just released by the Anne Arundel County Fire Department:

Fire Investigators from the Anne Arundel County Fire Department have arrested and charged a Glen Burnie man with seven different charges including three felonies in the aftermath of a dispute with his neighbor.

The incident occurred around 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 26, 2010.  At that time Anne Arundel County Firefighters were called to the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue SW in Glen Burnie. When firefighters arrived they found a dispute between neighbors.  County Fire Investigators and County Police were requested and responded to the scene.  It was determined that the incident was related to an ongoing dispute that had escalated to threats to burn a residence with an improvised incendiary device.

The suspect, 47 year old Martin Flemion of 114 Lincoln Avenue SW was taken into custody and transported to Eastern District Police Station for processing. Mr. Fleming was also subsequently taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center where he was admitted.  Upon his release on Monday, January 3, 2010, an arrest warrant that was prepared by County Fire Investigators was served by Anne Arundel County Sheriffs Deputies charging Mr. Flemion with the following:

  1. Threat of Arson (Misdemeanor)
  2. Attempted Arson in the 1st Degree (Felony)
  3. Manufacture/Possession/Distribution of a Destructive Device (Felony)
  4. Reckless Endangerment (Misdemeanor)
  5. Possession of Explosive/Incendiary Material with Intent (Felony)

It should also be noted that Mr. Flemion has an extensive criminal history of violence with fifty plus cases in the court system.  Mr. Flemion is being held at the AACO Detention Center on $300,000 bond.
