AAMC Foundation Signature Gala

The Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC) Foundation will host its signature fundraiser on Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Baltimore.  Proceeds from the gala will support the new Patient Care Tower, which will bring expanded health facilities to AAMC:  fifty new private patient rooms, eight new surgical suites, an expanded Emergency Department, and a new dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department and Pediatric Inpatient Suite.

The 8-story Patient Care Tower, scheduled to open in late April 2011, will give AAMC the ability to provide safe, efficient care for thousands of additional patients annually, a designated and very special place to care for children, and greater access to prompt and appropriate care for the hundreds of people who seek AAMC services daily.

This year’s gala, which celebrates the new Patient Care Tower, is an achievement that represents the best in planning, collaboration, and incredible generosity from so many.  “You don’t often in life get to host an event such as this that can affect the lives of thousands and thousands of people,” said “Brant Standridge, Maryland State President, BB&T Bank, who, with his wife Jessica, are co-chairs of the AAMC 2011 Gala. “That’s why Jessica and I are so very honored and excited to chair the 2011 Gala, to benefit the people who live, work and visit our area.”

The theme for the 2011 gala is “Imagine”, created to convey the vision that has inspired the growth and achievements of AAMC today, and the vision that will continue to drive its advancements and progress in the future.   Festivities will include dinner, dancing to the live music of the band “Prime Time”, and a silent and live auction.

The annual event is organized by a committee of volunteers in cooperation with the AAMC Foundation staff. Sponsorships start at $5,000 for a table of 10, and there are a variety of sponsorship packages and marketing opportunities available.
